About this place
For a bowl that puts flat noodles centre stage, Anaya’s special tsukemen is worth considering. The menu lists it with a soy-flavoured dipping broth, and recommends it to first-time visitors. One diner who ordered it described a soy-based broth with the savoury depth of chicken and seafood, and smooth flat noodles that took up the broth well. Their serving also came with seared chashu pork and a seasoned egg, adding toppings to the noodles and dipping broth.
Another lunchtime diner singled out the substantial noodles and rich dipping broth in the special tsukemen. The menu offers more than the flat-noodle version with soy: there are salt and miso broths, as well as medium-thick noodles, giving diners a choice of noodle shape and flavour.
For a change from tsukemen, the menu also features rich fish-stock ramen and rich salt ramen. One diner who had tried the fish-stock ramen said its flavour had stayed with them, while repeat orders of the salt ramen have drawn praise for the clear soup’s depth and refreshing finish. Lunch and dinner menus are available, with ramen and tsukemen to choose from at different times of day.
